I know there are a lot of comments about how great the customer service is and I have always been impressed with the amount of time and the help I get any time I call. But now I am even more impressed. I bought an Axis from a store mail order and it seemed the action was a little high and it had a few possible tuning issues which I thought was a problem with the nut maybe due to adjustments they tried to make at the store. I talked to customer service and I explained a few things about it and though I could do a basic set up we decided I could just send it back to the factory so I would know it is set according to factory specs and they could look everything else over. I sent it in and received a call that it was being looked at it. I received another call from A.J. telling me they would take care of the problem with the nut and set everything up but there was one more problem. A crack near the neck joint. I knew it wasnt there before I shipped it so my heart sank hearing that. A.J. told me it may be just in the finish but they would have to sand it and see if it was in the wood or not, so he gave me a choice. He said "if this particular body has any special mojo anf you want to keep it we can repair it if not can try to get a similar patterned wood and make a new body, my choice". I told A.J. to just make another body. He said ok it will take about a month if you dont hear from us then call us or if you want to know how its going you can call us sooner. I know it was under warranty but it is so cool dealing with such a reputable company and then every conversation with them makes me feel like they are only worried about taking care of me. Right at four weeks I received the new guitar and it sounds and plays amazing as usual. A.J. and everyone else at the company are great people. Anyone out there thinking of buying one of these guitars remember. Some of the expensive makers out there charge a lot for the name and the quality is hit and miss. As I was told on this forum before I ever bought one these guitars are one of the few you can order site unseen and know your getting consistent quality. If theres ever a problem with one of these other builders I promise the customer service won't come anywhere close to what you'll get with a Music Man guitar. I am just a happy customer and wanted to say thanks.
