Question AX4 Suggested Upgrades/Coil-Splitting Question

How's it going folks?
I've been browsing here for a few weeks looking at old threads about the Sterling SUB range, and I think I've settled on buying an AX4 over the Silo 3 purely on specs (although I'm demoing both on Thursday).

So this goes out to all AX4 owners; what upgrades (if any) have you guys carried out?

Also, what's the deal with the pickup selector?
I've read in a few places that it splits the humbuckers down to single coils, but I'm pretty sure that's impossible off of a 5-way selector.
Where does the AX4 get the "strat-style single coil" tones from?

I dont know about that specific guitar but you can do alot of things with a 5 way switch including coil splitting and anny other configuration you can think of.

There are a myriad of mods that you can do to that guitar.
Your best bet is to look at it (electronically) like an Axis Super Sport with a Double Locking Tremolo.



Your best bet for any modification is to ask around to guys that may have hot rodded an HH ASS
