Wondering if there is anyone around the Kansas City area who has an Axe-FX unit that they are using who wouldn't mind letting a buddy and myself check it out before we commit.

Not in KC. I had the standard and now the Ultra. I'm sure you've read a lot and been on the forum, it is as awesome as stated. To top it off Cliff's support with questions and software upgrades is great like the EBMM group.

quite alot of people going to the axe-fx.. i nearly did, but decided on the mkV. i heard a rumor that JP is trying an axe-fx out

i still may end up selling my mkV and going for the axe-fx.. but we'll see.

I've got an Ultra, not in KC but in NY. It really is amazing though. They do have a return policy so you could buy one and try it out.
