Does the Axis and the EVH have the same screw hole pattern in the body and neck?

How about the neck cavity in the body, is that the same?

I don't have both (so this is based on nothing), but I'd wager they're the same. No point in re-tooling the line to make changes to something that worked just fine. The other changes were improvements, in EBMM's eyes.

The neck plates are the same as far as the holes. The neck pocket is a different story. The Axis neck is wider, and won't fit in an EVH neck pocket.

I'll say. I couldn't get the guy to tell me the serial number on the neckplate for that green body.

Brent, you'd be freekin mad to go for it. its a lot of money to waste on a hunch

dont worry...i get excited about things at first...i would have to have some hard proof before i spent $800 on a body!

I think that is the black dye/stain fromt he back side. If you have ever taken a black sharpie and wrote on wood it would almost look purple in the right light.

I think it is original....

I was convinced that it was a re-paint. But then the sharpie on wood is correct also. When you mark it on the wood it does turn a purplish hue.

i just got this from the seller.........

Hi Brent.
The entire bridge including post are still in the factory bag. The body is
the real deal, not a refin. I don't have "the original serial" neck plate
but one without serial number. Never used and no, I didn't block out the
last number of the year, just ended up that way. Someone who worked at
MusicMan acquired the body and bridge about 5 years ago for me and it's
been a project never done and I have too damn many guitars so am selling
it. I won't separate the body and the bridge so they go as a set. If no one
buys it I have a contact in Canada for necks also I heard a place called
GMW makes them out in CA and I'll just have it finished if nobody meets the
price. Figured I'd put it out there if someone wanted it and if not or
nobody wants to pony up the right number then I'll finish it, no sweat.

i think it might be real....$800....???? gotta get a neck, which would be tough... and pickups and tuners and toggle and a pot and back plates and floyd nut.....and then you still dont have an official serial #, so would it be a real EVH?

too many unknowns!!!
