Hi everybody. my first post here. my question is about an axis body. i have what is supposed to be a mm axis body in GREEN, very nice quilt top. I need to verify it is real. Has anybody taken their axis apart and could tell me what to look for? The number 300 is stamped in the neck cavity along with the word "trans".
There is a sticker in the bridge pup cavity with the number 5213553 and under that is printed 300 61 11 00. I can provide pics for verification. There is no hardware on this body. I bought it for a project and now i dont have time to finish it. i have not modified this body in any way and would take a serious offer if anybody wants it. Thanks!

Hey Fred,

That guitar was finished on February 18, 2000. As far as I can tell, it's real. I couldn't tell you where the rest of that guitar is, but I can tell you that things like the neck and pickups are proprietary and aren't available for individual sale. The number 300-61-11-00 is the build number for the piece. 300 is for Axis, 61 is for Trans Green, 11 is for maple neck with matching headstock. That other number, 5213553, is the work order number. Good luck man.
