Is there a proper amount of tightening to do on an axis 5 bolt neck? What is too much, what is not enough? I noticed the neck was making noises as if shifting, but stopped doing that once I loosened the 5 bolts a little. I want to make sure its set properly; are you supposed to use a torque wrench?

Also, why is there a hold drilled through the body under the trem? (You have to remove the trem to see it.) It doesnt seem to serve any purpose.

The neckplate bolts should be tightened bt hand. Just a bit past snug, but not enough to crack the finish under the plate.

That hole you are asking about does not serve a purpose for you, but it does during the building of the guitar.
