Guys,

I have two Axis's with floyds. One has the floyd trems baseplate sitting exactly parallel with the body top, the other is at a slight angle due to the trem posts set lower. Can you check yours out to see how your floyd baseplate is sitting in relation to the body top? I have a feeling it should be horizontal but want to be sure before I raise or lower any trem posts!

Thanks
Steve

I don't know exactly how the trem is supposed to be set up but I think the baseplate should sit completely on the top. Maybe some axis expert can chime in!
But you should in either case remove the strings and springs to make sure there is no pressure on the tremolo edges when turning the posts!

To clear up your question Mikey both floyds are not floating and the rear lip on the underside of the baseplates sit on the body as they should. I'm just questioning the relation of the baseplate on the floyd (i.e. the bit with the Musicman logo stamped into it) to the body top...parallel or at an angle when viewed from the side?

Thanks
Steve
