Viewing another posters Axis springs has reminded me to post a few questions:

I have 2 Axis's - the first one I acquired has 3 trem springs (1-3-5) holes. The newest Axis is using 2 springs fanned out. Is there a consensus as to which is better or preferred? In playing both the 2 fanned springs seem to work better, a little easier to depress, but when bending strings, the bridge does not lift as much.

Another - the trem arm on the Axis with 2 springs sets closer to the guitar face - is there an adjustment somewhere that adjusts how far up the arm sets?

Thanks friends
Mike

I like the 2 fanned spring set up myself. For the trem arm I have noticed my older Axis' have a different bend to the trem arm which is closer to the body. The "newer" Axis models I have seen and one I own have a more pronounced bend to the trem arm and is farther away from the body. I much prefer the older lower arms.

owning 14 axis ~I can tell ya throw the bar in a padded vise and bend it to suit your style of them all none seem to arrive the same height(i like mine a lil high)?! make sure to get it to the start of bend and not the low end otherwise it wont go into trem bar holder.
