I would prefer not to use ebay so I'm posting this guitar here and harmony central. I just purchased another Axis and one of them has to go. The new one I just purchased has a color that I'm digging right now. The orange one, I'm selling, plays better. It has a very tiny scratch on the back. I picked it out of 6 other axis guitars because of its color and playability. The neck is highly birdseyed. Still has platic on the back and has never been out of my house. I purchased this guitar new two years ago and I'm the original owner.

If anyone is interested please e-mail me. [email protected]

Thanks
Bob T.

Am I reading this correctly? You're selling the one that plays better so you can keep the one with a nicer color?

Yup thats right. I'm a true jackass. Right now the one I just got is the new toy. Due to finances I can only keep one. If no one purchases the orande one soon, than I suppose the new color thing will wear off and I'll be able to make a more educated decision. :)

Perhaps the other is just in need of a set up?

I took the other one w/ the orange one into my local luthier. I brought the orange one to him for comparison sake. They set the new one up as best they could. It plays and sounds killer, but the overall concensous among all those that played both back to back was that the orange one had great mojo. It seams to me like you can dig into the notes better. Both feel and play great, but the bottom line is the orange is a better player. I new I'd have trouble trying to find another axis close to its playability.

Man if I had the cash and werent trying to sell the EVH....

I've been A/Bing the new (amber) one to the orange. Their is a definetely a feel difference and the orange one sounds thicker. Harmonics are a bit better on the orange. I'm glad i've got a chance to hold onto the orange one for comparison sake. Its also given me the time to make adjustments to my new one to get it as close as possible to the orange one, and that was after I had it proffesionaly set up!

I'll try to include a picture of the new one I got. Keep in mind if I hold onto the orange one much longer I may sell the amber one instead. The bottom line is the orange guitar is superior!!!

(It won't let my upload the pic of my amber one, but if no one buys the orange one I may do a seperate thread and put this one up. That bridge will be way down the road though. Cause I'm still digg'n the color!)

I can't believe I still Have this guitar. I see what these are going for on e-bay and I think this one is exceptional. Someone has got to give this a home. The longer I have this one the more I'm thinking about playing it again. I don't want to do that because of the money I invested on the amber one I recently purchased. If I had the coin I would never consider letting this go.

Somebody out there wants/needs an Axis. If your familiar w/ playing these guitars this one will make you wet your pants. (Sorry for the sales pitch, but this guitar needs to be PLAYED!!!).

Its not really strange that you sense a difference between the two. Different pieces of body wood, neck wood are going to sound different. No two guitars are exactly the same.

It seems to me you are destined to keep that orange Axis bro! Sometimes fate is what it is. I say you need to keep it. Only because you are praising it so much and you really seem to enjoy playing that one. Keep both of them and sell your TV, rug, Lazy Boy, blood, plasma, etc....just keep the guitars man!

I here what your saying, but I made a hasty decision and purchased another Axis (the amber one). The problem is I had ordered a GMW guitar back in May. It just came in last week... Its a financial thing or I'd never consider letting this go. I wish I could have taken a picture of my girlfriends face when I told her I just purchased another Axis and my GMW was on the way!

If I have to keep the orange axis than one side of me will be poor/ broke, but the other side will have a devilish grin from ear to ear!
