Axis Fretboard Finish

I'm having a neck made for another project and I really like the feel of my neck on my Axis. I know that the back is the oil wax finish but does anyone know what is used on the fretboard? It does not look like a lacquer or anything shiny. Thanks!

Lemon oil....that is what I use. That might not be the right answer, but, it is recommended.

Yes, I do have lemon oil. I am just wondering what type of finish they use at the factory on the fretboard. Could it be just oil only?
