Axis g string rattle

I've got an Axis that I love... I go between it and my Silo....but after having it for about 4 years, the Axis developed a buzz playing the open g string. It seems to only happen when playing the open string. Fretted at the 1st fret, the buzz is gone. Has anyone else experienced this?
Anyone have experience/wisdom to share on whether this could be a fret issue or if somehow the locking nut wore down slightly?

Marty I know you are new and I got your message....If you acknowledge technology going both ways why would you not try to utilize it in your ability to communicate...

Also please without seeing a guitar dont prescibe a solution....We always like them to contact customer service. Would you ask a stranger that has never seen you for medical advice? hahaha
