axis maple neck

Hey all,
I am cleaning and waxing my maple Axis neck.
I am following the video on the Music Man site and have one question.
Do I clean and wax the maple fingerboard the same way that I do the back of the neck?
The guitar in the video has a rosewood board so it is different.

You can use a very small amount of wax on the fretboard - I use EB fretboard conditioner but I have also used some wax in the past.

I thought that it was the same finish on the neck and fingerboard.
The Birchwood wax is AWESOME!
