Which way does the Axis (Floyd model) pickup selector switch go from the factory? Left-right or up and down and how did the old EVH have it?

Thanks

The EVH switch went up & down.

The Axis seems to come from the factory set up switching left to right...but inside the control cavity...the switch hooks into a hole in the shielding plate to hold it in place...and it is predrilled for both so you can easily turn the swich & tighten it down so it will switch up & down as the EVH did.

Thanks for the reply!
I had a feeling the EVH models were up and down, just a hunch. Also thanks for explanation of the hooks in the shielding, might switch it around and see if I like it.

I prefer it left right than up and down, I have had both Axis and EVH and I like the new location of the switch on the Axis.

I guess it is all what you get accustomed to.

I played the EVH's for years....so I am very used to the switch flipping up & down.

I just recently got my first Axis...so I wanted the switch to flip the same way as the EVH's.

As for switch location...I am still thinking that I could get to the switch quicker/easier in the EVH position...but maybe I will get used to it & end up liking it better.

I remembered after I posted...there are actually three holes in the shielding plate...the middle hole gives that angled position. I may have to try it out that way.

I had one that was at a 45 degree angle and one that I still have that is straight up and down. The 45 degree angle was nice.
