Do any of your axis guitars have some hum when using higher gain setting?
ex.) Tube screamer into a overdriven Marshall.
I hear some hum when using the bridge pickup on my axis when using the higher gain settings.
Just a question.
I am thinking that maybe the coils are not quite balanced as a way to get this pickup to sound the way that it does?
I do not believe that there is anything wrong with the guitar and it sounds AWESOME!
Just wanted to see if others have the same thing.
I LOVE THIS GUITAR!:D

All pickups hum, it's really hard to keep them quiet with high gain settings. If it really bugs you, may I recommend a noise suppressor? Is the noise bugging you while playing?

To answer your question, yes, everyone gets a little noise. When you boost your guitar signal with a gain setting on an amp or with a pedal, you are boosting the 60 cycle hum as well. The humbucker does cancel most noise, but it's not perfect.

Hey Dr.,
Yes I do use a ns-2 boss pedal.
The noise is not a problem.
I just wanted to see if others had the heard the same thing.
I play my Sub most of the time and just am use to a very quite pickup.
I would NEVER change out the Axis pickup as I sounds Awesome.
Thanks for the feedback.
Cheers
