Hi all,

I'm new here. I've got a apple burst Axis guitar. Absolutely love it. I just need to get the setup tweaked a little. As far as I understand it the Floyd Rose has a 10" radius nut and a 14" or 16" radius bridge. When these parts are used together you end up with some string height issues. Mostly the D and G strings buzz because they are to low when the E strings are set to 4/64th above the 12th fret. Do you guys just live with the buzz, set the strings higher, or shim the bridge so the radius is correct? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Aaron

I tend to find a middle ground with a little buzz and action quite low. Some have shimmed the bridge saddles, I'm sure I've read a detailed post about it a while back. I guess it's just up to what you want to do.
