The guitarist from the 80's girl band Vixen is playing an Axis these days.. it was all over the place on VH1's "Band's Reunited" tonight.

(The guitar was the highlight)

I saw it too. Thought it was an EVH model from the placement of the pick up selector. But the Volume ( Tone ) knob was black. The knob on mine is white, I assumed that was the color on all EVH models.

There was a few angles that they showed it and it looked like a Trans Pink to me. She has probably just switched the knobs on it, from the cream to the black.

the truth

Well, fellas.. the secret is out!

Look at how many of us were tuned in to see "Vixen".. hoping to see if they were still hot rockin' babes. hahaha!

I was hoping they'd have Steve Vai's wife (Pia) on there.. she was one of the members of that band before they got signed, I think. (And she still looks good!)

Go here and decide for yourself (launch the clip in the Video section - you'll need IE):

I'm at work so I haven't seen the whole thing, but halfway thru the clip during the guitar solo you can clearly see the EVH pickup selector positioning. They put on some funky lighting FX so it was hard to tell clearly what the headstock said.

Perhaps it's an Axis EX, based on the info we've gleaned so far? Some bands that are considered long dead here in the US can oftentimes still be found alive and well in the alternate universe that is Japan...

PS, it looks like an EVH signature. I opened it up in Photoshop, but the pictures are too grainy and with the color and the wood it all blends together too much.

Agreed, Glenn, odds are it is indeed a true EVH, although it would be kinda neat to find out it was an EX and how she got it, since there's not many of 'em stateside.

Maybe someone should ask on their fan board and see if Ms. Jan replies! ;)

Brentrocks and Vixen in one thread! - She was Jan Kumerhaund??? - I was a younger man back then and had the 12" remix of Cryin and how much love... ahhhh old days...

I saw brentrocks on myspace about 6 months back, he was less than complimentary to you poppa, but moving on.... new faces, new threads, BFR's, and a special axis on the way... place is as cool as ever.
