what is the Sport's neck made of? bird's eye like the Axis and SS or plain maple?

Ripley, it's pretty much the luck of the draw from where I am. I have 2 and they are more plain than birds eye.

I've been in the process of trying to buy one via the internet (through a reputable, autorized dealer) because I love my axis SS's, but need something a little different that will still fit in my anvil flight case and I can't get a direct answer about the neck material of the instrument I'm inquiring about. I think having to resort to posting this on the MM fourum is pretty much the signal I need to walk away from this sale, but now I just want to know because I've been going around in circles about this for a week.
