Played my Axis Sport for a couple of hours last night. I seem to be liking this little guitar more and more! It just simply rocks.. Have been a humbucker guy for quite some time, but I really like the neck singlecoil sound I get from the sport. Combined with the bridge humbucker I feel it can cover anything. It's a pity MM doesn't make the Axis Sport anymore.. But what am I complaining about, I already got a great one!

Another question: Since I really like the singlecoil neck sound, I'm thinking about a humbuckersized P90 for my AL HH to put in the neck position. Any of you tried that?

Yep, although not in a EBMM. Its a great pickup combination, probably my favourite actually. Have had great results with a Duesenberg Domino and Bare Knuckles Mississipi Queen...both humbucker sized P90s.

I am really fond of my ASS MM90.
The combination Bridge Humbucker + Neck P90 is commonly used by brands like Duesenberg. Thus, it's worth a try.

I really liked the Neck MM90 on the AL MM90 I had. Didn't care much for the bridge MM90, I really want a humbucker at the bridge.

Funny, was considering the Bare Knuckles Mississipi Queen for the job. In fact I already e-mailed them some questions.

Since I bought my first Axis SS with Piezzo I have rarely gigged anything else as it provides just every sound you could wish for and I can wear it all night long with supreme comfort. The piezzo bridge means I can achieve pretty close to a good acoustic sound at the flick of the switch, great for those Kinks numbers
