I have not actually installed them yet but set them on to check out. The plastic is still on it but I think they look great. I was a little concerned that I should have went black with the MM90 Sport but now that I see it in person I think I made the right call. Creme on the red HH and parchment on the pewter MM90.

Also...I know that BP jokingly says the pickguards failed because he designed them but I LOVE Sports with pickguards. I wished they still made them this way.

Nice!!..I have a trans amber Axis Sport HH with a scratch plate, plus i am lucky enough to a have NAMM Show prototype Green Axis Sport, which is the only one like it, with a scratch plate...It was different to the production model, HSS, which which not cream and black pickups, plus no tone, and unusual covers on the single coils...I was lucky enough to have been given it by the guys at EBMM...its a rare piece!!...i've attached a pic, plus some of my collection of Axis/EVH...Checkout my custom built ASS with P90's......Jamie Humphries

great looking especially the red one but don't fix it if you want to sell it I know most people don't like the pickguard

Stick it on - cut the heads off the screws and stick them into the pickguard holes. No one will know that the pickguard is stuck rather than screwed and it will "look" good.

I don't know. Wouldn't using double sided tape leave a "gap" between the pick guard and the body of the guitar? If he is going to keep them I would screw them down. Just my 2 pennies.

I was doing a lot of Queen Symphonic gigs for a while and I was toying with the idea of getting a Trans Red super sport with a rosewood neck and throwing a black pickguard on it. Then I'd try to get a set of those trisonic pickups and try to make an axis Red Special. I have the burns Red Special copy, but when I play it I'm usually wishing it played more like my EBMMs.

looking great, the Axis Sports with MM90 are great guitars (I´m sure... intended to buy one last week on ebay but sadly lost the auction) but look a little bit boring ... or let´s say naked... or something like that. With a PG it´s looking just right!
