Hi guys. On my new Axis SS/HH, the barrel of the 1/4'' plug on the cord doesn't fit flush with the guitars output jack. There is about 3-4mm between the socket and the base of the plug. If I push it in, it just goes right back as it was. I tried several cords, all the same. Is this normal? My other guitars fit flush, and seem to hold the plug in a little firmer. Thanks, Bryce

I think it's a problem that can be fixed easily for free by your dealer.

Have you talked to him about it?

No, mine are fine. I guess you could just order the jack from EB, though I don't know what that would mean for your warranty...

I'd give the repair folks at Music Man a call. They've been super helpful whenever I've called them.

Can't you just remove the four screws to the jack plate, pull it clear of the body route, pinch the contacts in a bit to improve the connection, maybe clean 'em too, then stick everything back together and have it working 100% again? EB/MM use high quality parts, but everything wears, and even new parts can get bent out of shape while sitting in a store some where...

Thanks Jimi, I'm gonna try that right now. If it don't work, I'll call EBMM. They have already been very good with another question that I had. Appreciate the advice from all you guys.
