Hey everyone,

I am looking to order a new set of pickups to replace the stock humbuckers in my Axis Super Sport. I know that the pickups in the Axis aren't height adjustable, so I wanted to see if any of you knew what the height of the actual physical pickups themselves are. This way, I could compare them to the new ones and see what the distance between the strings and pickups will be.

Do any of you know or have any Axis pickups unmounted that you could measure for me? Any input you have would be great. Thanks.

I have some at home. I'll measure them if I can remember to although Customer Service might be able to help you faster. Try emailing them as well.

Are you selling the stock pickups?

thanks

Thanks. That would be a big help.

I'm not planning on selling them. This switch isn't really because I dislike the sound of the stock pickups, I just need a touch more modern/aggressive tone for the current band I'm playing in and don't really have the cash for a new guitar or the space in my apartment to store any more guitars. In the long-run I'll probably buy another guitar for more modern tones and put the stock pups back in the Axis. This is just a convenient fix for now.

I measured from the metal part hanging off the coils. The highest point to lowest point is 2 1/8 cm for the neck and 2 1/4 cm for the bridge.

If I measured just the coils without the metal "base" it's about 1/2 inch high.

I hope that helps.
