Question Axis SS Semi-hollow questions

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone knew how much of the Axis SS semi-hollow is actually hollow. Was there ever a look at what the basswood construction looks like before the maple cap is glued in? I'm also wondering if there is any chambering on the opposite side where there isn't an M hole.

For those that own one, do you feel it makes a difference in the way the instrument sounds when plugged in? I'm very interested in that aspect as well as the weight difference and balance when playing. I wish there was a video showing some playing without an amp to see how it sounds.

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I don't see it mentioned anywhere.

I contacted A.J. at customer service regarding what's actually hollow and here's what he had to say"
"It's hollow on both sides of the pickups. The area in the middle, about the width of the pickups, is solid."

I have Axis Supersports with tremolo and piezzo both solid and semi hollow.

The semi has a harsher piezzo sound, other than that slightly more sustain on the solid.

Ah interesting that you hear more sustain on the solid body than the semi-hollow. Have you played the semi-hollow at high volumes? I doubt with just one cut out you'd have any issue with feedback. Not that I ever play that loud anywhere LOL.
