Axis Super Sport & D Sonic change?

Question, folks.

Have any of you chaps changed their Axis SS pickups to something else in the DiMarzio range?

I am in the middle of a project (details coming soon), and may use my D Sonic and Air Norton in the Axis SS.

I'll know when it gets stripped down etc, but do you anticipate routing/packing for height?

I've emailed DiMarzio for info on the pickups, but wanted to gauge opinion with Axis SS owners too.

Any info, feel free to chime in.

Had some info back from DiMarzio, the D Sonic is indeed a taller pickup, with the Air Norton being same height as stock pickups.

As a result, let me rephrase the question.

Those JP6 owners out there, what is the height from bottom of string to:

• top of D Sonic
• top of Air Norton

I know personal pref on action will differ, just looking for a general size.

With some retro thinking, I have the option of routing for the taller pickup, or modding my D Sonic a little.
