Jon,
What is the going rate for gigbag? and how do you compare with other brand gigbags?

I have no idea what they sell for ( I just work on guitars, and have nothing to do with sales) but I do have 2 of them, and the are nice. Padded, and strong. I bleeb they are made by Levys. You can call 1 866 823-2255 and ask customer service what they cost

I'm not sure if we sell them direct, or if you would need to go through a dealer

Word Of Warning!

I have a few MM gig bags. But on one of them, the pouch pocket unzips upward (with the gig bag upright) and stuff falls out of it everytime.

Not a huge peeve, just a small one.

And I guess I could lay it down, but still...

That said, they're smaller and great for easy transport.

I have a couple EBMM gigbags and Jon's right, they are a standard Levys bag with the EBMM logo... I've owned the exact same bag without the logo so I know it's a standard bag. It is not "shortened" to take into account the Axis' diminuitive form, so you end up with space at the top when carrying your guitar in it... no biggie, as the bag is well padded and firm enough to keep shape, but it's not made specifically for the Axis. Also, if you don't have a bag yet, I would suggest getting a generic "no name" Levys bag of the same or better model, because having "Music Man" on your gig bag just screams "steal me!" to my mind - perhaps not a loudly as "PRS" or "Gibson", but loud enough... I personally use my old-style, un-branded EBMM hardshell cases when carrying the guitars out of the house rather than my newer, vacuum-molded and branded Music Man cases...

I guess there's some benefit to a gig bag, if you want to sling it over your shoulder. However, the MM case is so light, I don't see a need to give up the extra protection.

I did get a smaller tube amp (22 lbs), which my back thanks me for. :D

I have an inCase "bag" that works nicely with my axis. big, padded backpack straps. very handy. it's not a "bag" exactly, but a sem-soft case. very lightweight. you either like it or hate it. bit of extra space, but it's manageable. I live in a city so the backpack style straps are most helpful.

That's the standard walking musician setup. Of course you have to get a small combo to fully utillize the setup and enact pedalboard enablement... (is that a word?) :D

I dunno about that.. I've never owned a gig bag in my 23 years of playing. Always a hardshell case. Always several trips to the car to load/unload amps, cabinets, pedalboards, guitars, etc at gigs. For practice I leave a lot of gear at the practice place. Right now, my: 4x12 cab, amp head, mic stand, some cables, rack with Furman & other components, all live at the drummer's house. I just tote my guitar and pedalboard back & forth. And until I build a carrying case for the pedalboard, I'm still making two trips to the car!

I have a spare EBMM gig bag in very nice condition. If you would like it let me know what you think it is worth. The bag came with my ASS but I got on ebay and found a really nice used ASS hardcase so I basically just have a gig bag that gets no use. My email is [email protected]

For me.....nothing but a hardshell case will do for EBMM guitars!!!!! They are just too nice to take a chance with gig bags. I have nothing against a good gig bag,but not for quality guitars like these!!!!! But thats just my opinion!
