Hi there .
i purchased a brand new Axis super sport Left handed from -STRINGS DIRECT- in the U.K -
Model: AxisSuperSp
Serial Number: L04459
Dealer: Strings Direct UK
Purchased on: 11/19/2012

I purchased this guitar(its beautiful BTW :) ) from my home in Cyprus , knowing that my folks were coming to visit me in Cyprus over the xmas period, and they flew with my new guitar, and brought it out to me here in Cyprus on the 24/12/12.

I couldn't get to gig with it until new years eve, but when i did , i noticed that when i plugged it in for the first time to tune up, all pickups responded except the BRIDGE PU on it's own.?
So i did the gig, got home, and the next day i opened up the back plate hoping to find a loose wire or.?
But i don't really see anything wrong in there.?, only one clear looking wire un soldered as you'll see in the photos inc.
I've soldered this wire into the only available slot as you can see is free, i've done it now, and i'll gig it tonight and see if it works?
in the meantime i'm hoping you can read this, take a look and see what you think.
So......... ??? what do i do?, there is nobody here locally in paphos cyprus to take a look, is there anywhere online that there are photo's of the inside of this model, so i can check which wires go where, colours etc.....
Many many thanks for your time.

please find enclosed a picture of the inside.
HELP !!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe that's the problem... this ground connection should touch the back side of the cover with or more specific, it's metal shielding. If it touches anything else inside it may cause problems.

It's really hard to say from those photos. Normally, when the guitar is new, you can send it back to the dealer for warranty service. However since you've bought in another country, you've gone around the dealer network EBMM has put in place to deal with issues like these.

Rather than go by colours, your best bet is to try and find somebody local that's handy with guitar electronics (doesn't have to be EBMM specifically). This shouldn't be a very difficult thing to sort out- either there's an issue with the wiring or the pickup.

Actually Cyprus is a member of the European Union and Eurozone so I *think* he's fine. If Strings Direct shipped it directly to you in Cyprus, then I think you're covered.

In any case, somebody local should be able to diagnose this and possibly even fix it in a few minutes. As Beej said, these things are usually very easy. You may not need any intervention from Strings Direct at all, but DO call them first to find out exactly where you stand.
