AXIS - Tele Setup...

I think that I have seen at least one Axis set up with just the two Tele pickups...yes? No? Please post pics and pickup details if so. I'm about to make my own so input would be nice.

Indeed, my '07 Sport came to me that way.

These are the pickups that came out of it: Seymour Duncan APTS-1 Alnico II Pro Tele Pickup Set Black/Chrome, one APTR-1 and one APTL-1 pickup.




I am trying to remember what happened to the pickguard. Thought I might still have it but can't put my hands on it yet. Most likely I sold that but can't find that sale post yet either.

THis was teh pickguard, sold in a bundle to a Reverb buyer. Possible that they still have it, and happy to reach out if you have any interest

Good condition pickguard for Ernie Ball Music Man Axis, drilled, mfg unknown. Single ply, matte/satin black tele pickup routing. Originally installed on my 1997 Axis Sport.

I have my 3 EBMM Sports and didn't want to do this mod to one of them, yet. So, I took my Sterling Axis and Telefied it. I love it and it sounds nearly identical to my Fender Tele. I used bootstrap pickups.
