Axis Tone Control?

My new Axis arrived today. Yes I know guys, pics will be coming this week sometime.

I was just fiddling with it and noticed when I took of the control cover that the cavity is set up for a tone control, It has the metal plate ready to go.

I was just wondering if anyone has done this?

I've got to admit that adding a tone control could really add some additional tonal variation, along with the coil split that I'm going to put in soon too.

Look forward to hearing if anyone has done it, and if it made much difference or for the wise advice on why not to do it.
