how do i loosen the bar so when i am playing and hold the bar i am not lowering the pitch. what i mean is i would like a little play in the bar up and down. so it has some play when i depress it before it engages.

thanks

Can't be done.

You could tighten the trem springs so that it requires more force to move, that way it wouldn't be as sensitive to movement while you've got the bar resting in yer hand - hence reducing unwanted pitch variations.

i may give jon a e-mail tomorrow. the gotoh has a nut under the bridge as well as a allen screw in the trem cavity. i know most floyds are built the same and on the floyds and the peavey floyds you can do this so there is play in the bar. i would think the gotoh would have the same design. i may be wrong but it looks to have all the same features as my other floyds.
