Would Skinny Top Heavy Bottom strings work on the Axis? Or are they too thick? If anyone is familiar with the system can you tell me which strings are ok (Ernie Ball strings) on the Floyd and which arent?

I played my friend's Axis strung with Regular Slinky set (10-46) - they felt good on that guitar. 'Skinny Top Heavy Bottom' are 10-52, right? I think you might need to add a spring in order to keep the trem in right place.
