OK, I've been very nice to both of you in the past. Now, I'll be a "father figure" of sorts:
1. EVH is straightforward with his thoughts, and sometimes bluntness is surprising to us. He prefers quilts over flame top (as do I, to be honest wih you) Should that matter? No...It's your guitar; if it makes YOU happy, then THAT'S most important.
2. After looking at the pics, the neck is a bit dirty from previous usage. I'm sure you're like me, Timmy, and you plan on pulling the strings and the neck off (after you block the Floyd so that the tension doesn't cause it to jar loose without strings on, mind you) and give it a good bath. Then it will be your SHINY new guitar, and she'll look prettier than she already is.
Now, no sides here...BOTH of you play nice, or I will not be as kind as I was here. Got it?

Tim, understood, and I'd go to bat for my gear in a flash as well. A fair assessment, and your point is well taken.
However, and being logical here (not trying to start anything), but did I not say practically the same thing in #2 of my previous post, yet more discreetly and friendly, yet you took no offense to MY comment? I don't know if the "aura" of being a mod carried over on that, or if it was the way I worded it. Either way, don't care....but you see my point. Two different wordings, same thing; don't jump the gun about something said. If you need to call someone on something (including me), that's what private messages are for. Let's use them, OK?
Both you and EVH are cool little cats, and I'd like to see both of you hanging around here for quite some time without issue. I'd also like this post to be the last regarding this issue.
