Finally got back from LA/SF the other day. I looked high and low for an Albert Lee but no dice. I think I went to about 6 guitar places including guitar centers in the area.

I even checked craigslist but to no avail. There were no used or new ones to be tried or bought.

I did see some really nice new EBMM's at guitar center hollywood and San Jose. The San Jose had a really nice Amber Axis at a great price but it had no case. It also felt like the neck needed some adjustment as the action was a bit high.

Kinda bummed but I did get to pick up a Wampler Ecstasy pedal and some EB strap locks! I guess I'll just have to wait for an AL.

Thanks to everyone who made suggestions on where to check out in the area!

Yep. That's the one. It really sounds awesome. I haven't had much time to play with it yet, but I did test it out with my DD2 Luke and it was very creamy. Love it.

Kimino- I've picked up two preowned Al's and they have both been super fine instruments. It wasn't difficult to sell and ship one when I decided to sell it. Both of them were acquired based on talking to the sellers and viewing pictures, and of course a little trust. There were three or four Als for sale here a month or two back in the For Sale thread. Mine was one of them but it's no longer available. I'm keeping it now. It was in the FS thread for quite a while. Point is this; why not pick up a used one to try it out and if you don't like it, it seems relatively easy to find a new owner with cash in hand. Shipping is easy for a cased MM guitar (albeit a little expensive crossing oceans or borders). Or just order up a new one from several different companies online. Some even have a trial period I think. Also, Zombi here on the forum works for GC and can most likely hook you up with an Al used or new and he has even offered financing. There's a used one in GC Memphis , Bartlett TN. Also there's the Dubaldos to talk to, they have four Als listed on their website. In the meantime Here's a few to peak your interest..

this one is smoking hot!
