After having only had one EBMM bass in my arsenal (a rather superb SUB 4) I am now the proud owner of this rather nice Stingray. I did have a Stingray some time ago but moved it on. I always missed it and so the gap has now been filled. Lovely stuff!

Sweet! Looks good as is, IMHO, though a white PG would add a bit of contrast. Nothing quite like the growl of a Stingray.

I must admit that it was the colour combination that drew me to this particular bass. Black/Black/Maple was what I had been looking for.

I bought my '99 honeyburst SR5 in April, and played it at a three-hour gig in May. Then it went back in its case while I played my bass named after Leo's patronymic. Last week I pulled it out again and everybody in our group (all different personnel from the May job) really liked the sound and the appearance. Guess the other one goes back in the case.

I really love this combo, too. It's so simple but it's just awesome beautyful.

Most interestingly I can not stand black Jazz Basses with black pickguard and maple neck/fretboard.
