i think im going to put my axis back up for sale now, its the purple one with the floyd rose..the reason im selling it is because i dont like the floyd rose at all, i think its just a big pain in the butt  so now im deciding on either getting a new axis or maybe something else, i like the axis alot but i want something with more of a tonal variety, but i still want the neck and wieght and i want to stick in the ernie ball family. any ideas on any other for under 1k? by the way i like to play soft slower christian songs, then i like to go into punk so i want a guitar that can do both

Try selling it here...what about a Morse, now that's versatility :D

The Super Sport is what you need. Tone control, 5 way switching, hard tail or our MM trem that does not go out of tune, individual saddle height adjustment(try that on a Floyd Rose!) I'm telling you..you need this guitar!

Agree with Jon here, Tim.

The Axis SS with humbuckers and standard bridge will give you a lot of options and more tonal variety than the 3 position P90 version.

But my fave still remains the LUKE and I play mostly clean (though some might say sloppy) these days.

A lot of Petrucci owners though may chime in. I love the middle pickup position on those guitars.

There is a live CD with Luke, and Larry Carlton(one of my idols). It's recorded in Japan, and won a Grammy, and I think it is called Luke and Larry, but I could be wrong. KILLER Cd, and listen to Lukes tone.

All my clips are on a Luke guitar (w/Sustainer tho)

It's distorted :D

I think Luke has a sustainer on one of his guitars. Pretty sure I saw it
