I`m sending some broke parts back to SLO to be traded out for new. I`v always been told to never store your bass for a prolonged period of time without tension on the neck(could damage it) but in this case I have no choice, could be that way for up to a month..What should I do, how should I store it, will it hurt my neck ? I usually hang my basses, even bring them to pitch before I put them away. Was wondering if I should take the neck off and put everything in the OHSC ? Any advice ?

I'm pretty sure that's just a myth. I can see no obvious reason why storing it without tension would hurt it. Maybe it'll need some days or even weeks (depending on how long it's been stored) to readjust after you put tension back on it, but that's all, AFAIU.

I would ask Customer Service that question. Internet speculation is just Internet speculation. The I think, I coulda, I woulda, may not be the best advice. But hey - it was on the Internet so it must be true.

if there are no strings, I would loosen the truss rod all the way. Then when you get the strings back on, re setup the bass.
