My cousin was lookin' for a bassist for his new " band " ..but that " band " turned out to be 2 morons ( plus my cousin and I ) .... My cousin plays guitar and was doing the Rythm ... and that other guitarist .. harf ...

first thing he said " I've been playing guitar for 3 years and I don't know a key :D " and was really proud of that ...
then every songs he did was him playing somewhat solos ...and my cousin doing the underjob ....

I played along

later on he said " hey say J-F , start a riff and I'll come in then Mark then the drum , what ya say" so I started a lil Blues - Ska ish riff ( yeah ..well it was a lil blues riff on a ska tempo ... anywho) the guy looked at me as if I had hate his baby then said " Okai never mind man , the guitars will start , then the drum ..you get in last ..anyway we all know that bass is just there to do back ground sound "

I would have crucified him right away , but I tried to stay calm and explain to that ****** moron what bass was all about and he just say " yeah yeah ... " as if he didn't care ...

I'm not goint back there that's for sure ! haha

Smack that foo! Buy a cheap Fender Squire or something, mod it up so that it had great surface area for smacking, add some spikey things on it, and SMACK THAT FOO!!!

man i am the one that would be like, guitar is for the background. lol yeah all my band knows who is the heart of the band

the bass.... but maybe thats cause all of my friends have played the bass at one point or the other. bass is what you feel, not the shallow guitars that you here, with out bass everything sounds like white stripes... wich even has bass in some of there songs for the extra feel

but im preachin to the choir here

funny thing is he said he also has a bass at home .. but he was suprise to see the ErnieBall MusicMant Sterling Tag .. like he didn't know what it was ..

another thing about those guys .. the drummer .. when I started one punk-rock riff .. he couldn't get in at the right tempo .. he was always to slow .. , I told him " man get the right tempo you slow me down and that sucks , can't you get in at the right speed goddamnit ! " ... and was always changin beat which at one point was getting on my nerves always having to adjust to his Incoherent drum beats.

yeah the Squire thing is pretty temptin' too ...but I hate to see guitar sor basses or any instrument gettin' smashed ... even the Juicy fruit commercials hurt me ... And no matter how cheap the thing is .. I wouldn't want to smash the symbole of a Bass on that stupid guy ... he's not worth it ... give me a 2X4 for that haha !

it's not in ..:(

Maybe it takes a while to process???

Anyway I just noticed where you're from and wanted to comment that two of our best advertisers in the construction equipment parts marketing publication that my wife and I own are from Laval. Don't know how big Laval is or if you'd know them, but they are ADH - Advanced Hydraulics Inc. and Unilex Industries. Our business website is http://www.thepartsbook.biz/
if you're interested.
