Bad Salad: Short Demo Up!

Hi guys.

As some of you know already. I have a band called Bad Salad and we're working on our first album. It's coming along great! We hope to finish it off and release it this year still, though it'll depend on a number of things (writing lyrics, getting the gear ready, recording, label, sites and whatnot).

I'm currently recording our songs here on my personal computer just for the purpose of keeping track of everything. It's pretty hard to remember a bunch of 10+ songs without doing so at this point.

I made a little mixdown of what we are curently working on to share with you guys.

This is one of the heavier ones, beware non metalheads.

Note:
- This is not a final recording, not even the final arrangement.
- The other instruments were programmed by myself and do not represent accurately (to say the least) what the other guys are playing.
- You'll have to excuse the poor quality. Although I have a great amp I can't mic it in my appartment. I could go to jail before realeasing an album. I used the direct output of the amp for silent recording.
- Yes, a musicman was used!

Sure it has a story. Here it is copied straight from soundclick.

The band started out as a little jam between friends. The plan was to play whatever crazy ideas we had and to have fun.
Originally there was no intention to start a band. After noticing the chemistry between us things slowly went in that direction. We started writing complete songs and decided to release an album.
Why this name?
The name came about in our first jam. We were like 'Okay, so this isn't gonna work out... Everyone has these different crazy ideas and influences and we're gonna mix it up like a bad salad.'

It's been more than a month since I started this thread.

Time to bring it back up...

I just uploaded the newest version of the song. Now in it's entirety (6:20min).
Still missing vocals, solos and proper keyboard and bass parts.

You might notice the mix sounds a bit better also.

Nothing is final yet... It's a work in progress until we record the official album.
