I dont know why they dont offer a silo speical bfr, I think its a necessity, just like the luke but with passive pups and the silo neck of course - I think that would be a great seller, all the suhr and TA guys would love them and me as well :D

+1

I'd keep the pickguard on it too

Have you tried a 20th anniversary Silo?

I have and it was a horrible experience. I don't know how long it had been in Guitar Center but the input jack was screwed to all hell and the fret edges where sharp enough to slice my pinky and draw blood in the middle of a slide (<-----not an exaggeration). I put the thing down before I got a FULL test drive of it.

well I wasn't expecting that response. My first impression was the exact opposite, the sound was very impressive. If you get a chance to take that "FULL test drive" let me know what you think, I'm sure it will be more positive.

let me clarify....the condition of the thing was absolutely terrible so I didn't get a chance to form of an opinion of the model as a whole. I remember thinking the neck felt great before it tried to tear off my hand but the sound was crackling in and out when I plugged it in, so I tried playing it unplugged. As soon as I realized what was going on I just put it down because I didn't want to end up with a horrible impression of the 20th silo as a whole just because guitar center doesn't know how to take care of quality issues.

BTW-I meant to say output jack in my last post, not input
