The markup on EB basses in Australia is criminal. A$3000 = US$2250. Given that there is ZERO import duty on basses imported into Australia, and the only tax is a flat 10% GST, that's a huge profit margin for EB in Australia. BP and the gang really need to look into their pricing structure downunder.

used, mint stingrays in this combo sell every day for $700US. just buy one on ebay, have it shipped, and save yourself a ****-ton of money.

+1, if he can live with a used one. That's how my black/rosewood SR journeyed across the Pacific.

Urwords,

Normally I'd caution you about posting street prices here on the forum, but since BP loves it when you get everyone all fired up, I'm just gonna sit back and see what transpires... ;)

Isn't that the country that USED to be known for its cricket-playing abilities?

I could be mistaken.

:D
 Personally I thinks it's great Australia lost the ashes. A friend of mine had an affair with one of Englands test players awhile back. You know the story, she's singing in a hotel he's missing the wife and kids.

I knew that little comment would draw out the Aussies... but you understand it HAD to be done! :D

I'm not even a fan of cricket myself, but I enjoyed your graphic presentation Mark (if not a somewhat expected come-back)!
Did you get any coverage in Jakarta (or do you even have a TV)?

57 channels of cable here, including a dedicated cricket channel that showed the Ashes live (play starts around 4.00pm here, which is quite civilised)
