2 Possible things, the Bongo could be a little hot for your input of that Amp so try backing Off the Volume of the Bongo, I don't do well with 300 watt Amps having the same Problem, The more Power the better Headroom you'll have and Less Farting Happening, also I Use a MarkBass Compressor and the will fix that problem perfectly, so you may try one of those, so Far the Best Compressor on the Market second the Dunlop New one also is a great 1 to use. MarkBass first tho.

hello and welcome to the forum :)

these things are almost impossible to diagnose over the internet.

a friendly tip though:
the bongo has an incredible electronics system capable of alot of boost or cut.
so be careful with the settings on it. dont turn it to the max :)
if you max out the bass on the bongo it will require massive power from the amp to be able to get it out undistorted to you.
and if the amp can send out all that power its not sure that the cabinets can handle it. the speakers reach their maximum movement and start sounding bad (or even break)

if you want more bass you can get the same perception by removing mids and treble instead of boosting the bass..

Dont have both lows & mid lows both up at the same time, one or the other will help.

Turn the bass knob to the left.

Remember LESS is MORE with this 18V Preamp

Next question.... :)

4x10 + 1x15 is not an ideal cab arrangement by any means. You're likely driving the 1x15 over its mechanical limit, causing the farting. The 4x10 very likely goes deeper, and louder, than that 1x15. I'd take the 1x15 out, and see where that lands you. If you still need more volume, add another 4x10 cab.
A lot of other good advice in here re: EQ.

Troubleshooting 101: Isolate the issue.

- Does it do this with a different bass? If so, then the trouble lies with the amp/cabinet. Good observations have already been made.
- Does it still do this if you stop feeding it beans and cabbage?
- Are you sure it's the amp making that noise and not you?
- What about the drummer?

+1 on the notes about the Bongo bass knob. The only time I ever boost the bass more than a tiny smidge is when I want to make girls giggle (Cabinet Rides: 25 cents) or make things walk off tables. I made a picture fall off a wall once (really).

I've played the exact same set up, and while it's a great sounding one I also got it to fart out. Not enough power combined with the relatively high porting frequency (for a 5-string) means It'll fart out if you push the amp/cabs past its limits.
What the others say, careful with the bass control, and you should be fine. If you want louder, get a louder amp:)
cheers

I had one of those amps a while back, and I was really underpowered for what it was rated at. Get something with some real watts behind it.
