What's going on with the Audiophile bass amps? Guitar Center was blowing them out super cheap a few months ago. I wish I had the extra cash at the time, I would have gotten a cab and head. Are they being discontinued or revamped? I haven't seen them for sale anywhere.

Not really related

Well I'm not sure what exactly you are talking about but I just got a 4x10 and a thousand watt head from Carvin.com and it sounds wonderful. It's a factory direct company so things there are pretty cheap. I don't know, that's what I'm saying.

ummm well audiophile amps are nice but uhh stick with someone who has been in the amp business a little longer like Ampeg. you want an awesome amp go for the SVT-4 or the SVT-2. audiophile just isnt practical unless you already have something else that is nice too. thats why you dont see many cuz not too many people buy em

I'm curious about the Audiophile amp line also. I'm wondering if they're being discontinued. I tried an HD-212 cabinet; it was awesome. I'm currently using a G-K 2000RB with either an SWR Goliath III or Goliath SR.. I also have an Ampeg SVT-II Pro and 8-10E Classic cabinet(but it's a real pain to transport). The Audiophile line looked to be some good stuff, but I've noticed the same thing at my local Guitar Center-I don't see 'em anymore.

Audiophile

I have the Audiophile amp and love it. I think it's hard to beat in terms of power and sound for that kind of money. Not practical? Why not? I would add though, that I had two of them blow up on me before the company courteously (and overnight) sent me the version 2 one I have now. Works great-glad to leave my SWR SM-400 behind.

Audiophile

Hi Steve, I'm glad to hear you're liking the Audiophile amp. EB is a great company regarding customer support. I know what you mean when you said "glad to leave my SM-400 home". I feel the same way about my SVT stack. I'll gladly move an 89 lb Goliath III and a 31 lb G-K(700 W RMS) as opposed to lugging an 85 lb 300W tube amp and a cabinet that weighs 165 lbs.

AUDIOPHILE BASS AMPS

Yes it's true the amps have been discontinued.

Audiophile amp

Well that's not very encouraging, considering I've blown up two of them. Maybe there's a correlation there...

MM AUDIOPHILE BASS AMP

We decided to discontinue the manufacture of the Audiophile bass amp because it was too expensive for the current market.
