Hi:

I have a 1991 Stingray 4 with its original case. As one would expect, the case has some road rash, but it is still serviceable. However, the single catch in the middle, as well as the two locking clasps on the ends, are giving out. Is it possible to obtain replacements? If so, does anyone know where and at what cost?

Thanks,

Ferpini

I believe that if it is an SKB brand Music Man case then (if you have the original reciept) it has a lifetime deal. I'm not sure what the fine print on it is, though. Contact the SKB case company (if it is an SKB MM case) and talk to them.

Good thought, but there is nothing in or on the case to indicate that it is an SKB. I was under the impression that SKB made only molded cases. This one is rectangular, with a black vinyl exterior and blue plush interior. It looks to be made from some kind of pressboard material.

Even so, I am not the first owner and I do not have the sales receipt. The seller told me this was the "original" case from Music Man. If I can not find the latches somewhere, I guess I'll have to toss it and buy an new case.

We no longer offer the Black Tolex version G&G
case. I think we discontinued that case in late 99
and switched to the SKB case.

You may try contacting G&G and see if they have replacement latches. [email protected] or (323)233-2482

Thanks

Thanks Derek. I didn't know who the original manufacturer was. I posted an email to the address you suggested today. I will let the forum know their reply when I receive it.
