im finally came to a decision of:

white stingray
black pickguard
rosewood fretboard
matching headstock
3bandeq

If they've got it in stock, it should take less than a week to get it to you. If they have to order it from EB, it will take about 10-12 weeks.

They have a pretty amazing selection in stock (and quite a few basses not on the website, I believe), so they might have that one available.

Of course, the easiest thing to do is send them an email, or call them....

I'd recommend calling. I e-mailed early one morning and had no response by noon the next day. Since I'm very impatient, I called and talked to Gard. He said that they get hundreds of e-mails every day and you get much faster response by calling than e-mail. If I would have ordered my Bongo 5 earlier that day from stock they would have shipped it the same day. Great service - CALL GARD!:D

Definately call... I called one of the #'s posted on the website and talked to Beaver for about a half hour (before the store even opened) about the ins and outs of the Ray vs. Bongo. He went out of his way to talk to me (which was so cool... I was expecting to hear "we're closed, call back later"). He went over options, talked about the stock on hand, asked appropiate questions and helped guide me towards my choice. B.Central Rocks!

As an MM dealer , I can tell you that youa re right on the order time from the factory. Everything at this point is at least 2 months, including SUB models.

I too had a nice long chat (again, after store hours) with Mr. Felton when I ordered my Bongo from Bass Central. He answered all of my questions, and explained everything to me very thoroughly. He's a good guy, and I will definately be going back to Bass Central for future purchases.

I dunno man, I wouldnt order from anyplace unless you've inspected the instrument with your own hands. I ordered a 4-string stingray from them and it turned out to have all sorts of problems. I had to get the neck and pickup replaced even when this thing was fresh out of the box.

They claim a wood problem; they use several different types of wood, suppose they ran out of everything or!!!!

those colors are the pimp
good choice
i think the stingray
but i think a stearling would bee cool lookin like that too
the stearling has a more "funky" look and the black and white are very rockin and funky colors

You know what'd be a cool color combo? Bright, eye blistering green with a blindingly bright hot pink pickguard. That would be 1337, ya dig? They should make that standard on all Bongos, StingRays, Sterlings, SUB models, and Sillhouettes.
