ive been experementing with drop tuning for guitar s

i got a good sound goin to drop Bb using a set of .09's removing the .09 and adding a second E string

i saw some acoustic baritone strings .016 - 0.70
and acoustic strings = thick
baritone = thicker

i wana order a set (singles) of .016 - 0.70 for electric
all wound except .016

could tune it an octave below a guitar standard?

i will be using a cheap guitar (no brand knock off from swap meet) in case i mess the guitar up it wont cost me much

what do you guys think?
hehehe

I tried it with a 2nd hand guitar using the EB baritone set. Getting the lowest string to stay in the Floyd Rose trem on mine (I was using a single-locking FR system), to get it into the string post and wrap around it, and to tune properly was a pain in the backside with the 25 inch scale and I can't remember exactly what pitch I got the low string to tune too. It sounds best through a bass amp, as the guitar amp I tried it through just did not like it one bit.

Good luck if you decide to do it! If you can get it to work, you should be able to enjoy it!
