Bass Lessons

I am looking at taking a few lessons or possibly attending a course, can anyone recommend any good tutors or centres (if any still exist!!) in England (London and the south east)

Ooh where to start.

Two tutors that I know are.

Steve Lawson - He's in North London. His web site says it all.

Paul Geary in Ash Vale, Surrey. My mentor. He's currently on tour in Germany so teaching has had to stop temporarily.


As far as college courses go there is

Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford

Guitar Institute

There are others of course. Try posting the same question on bassworld.

If i lived in England I would try to get in touch with Guy Pratt from Pink floyd. Not that he would even talk to me, but his playing is awesome! It's just the idea that he's over there.

Just ask him why Jack and Mark and Gavin call him "Tino".
