I am booking a flight to Vegas, in October, of all times. Since I will be there for a week, including a 2 night trip to Disneyland, I was wondering what sort of bass related activities are worthwhile in Vegas?

The only thing I can think of is the GC on the strip. Beyond that, are there any other cool stores to check out in Vegas? And is there anything near Disneyland?

My daughter works at the Vegas GC in the drum room. Her band 'Jameson & the Sordid Seeds' play the Hard Rock, House of Blues, and the Beauty Bar.

Ed Roman is one of those interesting buisness men out there. There is one Ed Roman in every town it would seem. He runs/ran a music store in Las Vegas, selling guitars, many made by him. Ed has his opinions, and doesn't mind sharing his views with anyone that will read them. His rants on his website are often hilarious, if they weren't so serious. The biggest one that gets me is he doesn't like any customers touching the merchandise. Understandable, but if I am putting down $2300 on some spalted-top super guitar, I want to at least play it before I buy it. Needless to say, Ed's strong opinions have gained him a cast of followers, and detractors.

Think I've been in his store 1 or 2 times.
Tried out some pretty expensive basses, nobody stopped me so I guess he wasn't around. Didn't buy anything because there were no Balls around. He. :)
Also tried to get some Steinberger parts through his store. That was a horror story. Still need that latch for the battery compartment.... :(

There are two GC's in the vegas area, the older (bigger) one has recently moved from tropicana to a newly developed part of vegas, down south of McCarran, and carries a fair amount of basses:) The other one is a hassle to go to ($40 cab) and is much smaller, so I'd suggest the bigger one. Also, if Ed Roman is in business when you are there, the store is definitely worth checking out. Ed is real funny I think, and he has a lot of instruments on the walls:)
