Bass players - CCR - fingers or plek

Hello members,

I'm curious how you perform Creedence tracks. I like fingerstyle much more than using a plek when I play CCR tracks with the cover band. I play it with a Bongo 4 HH. Do you see any reason to play these songs with a plek? Or do you also do it with fingerstyle?

I'm a guitarist just starting out with bass. I'm gonna try to get comfortable with both styles. Only the pick would work on bass for a sound like David Bowie's Under Pressure. But finger style is more fluid. I was listening to Credence just yesterday, and they have such an organic rock sound. I don't know what the Credence bass player used, but I'd use the walking fingers to play his inventive bass lines.
