Hi everyone, I have a question for you: I have a StingRay 5 and I have to replace the pick up and the electronics. What combination do you suggest? I'm about to buy a bassline with the pre-amp and everything but I'm not sure if the Bartolini would work better. One thing that confuses me is the large amount of pre-amp models from Bartolini. Can someone give me some light about that.
The sound I'm looking for is something a little bit more "modern" if that's possible! the thing is that I'm extremely proud of my SR 5 but, I'm doing some sessions and the producers are kind of "in love" with that "edgy" sound of Foderas and that kind os instrument that I call "Hi-Tech". I don't want to buy one of those, given the fact that I already have the best bass ever but, I want to convince the producers I'm working with that I can have that kind of sound with my baby.
The question remains the same: Bassline or Bartolini and what kind of pre-amp.
Thanks in advance my friends.
