Just measured the voltage on all my basses and they came out between 9.5 and 9.1 volt.
But from wich measured value should i replace them?

8.5 is a good spot

Music-Man FAQ shows 6 months but I would think that has to depend on how much you use the instrument.

In another question
Can I use rechargeable 9-volt batteries for my Music Man bass?
They answer
"We do not recommend rechargeable batteries for replacement in Music Man instruments for 2 reasons:
1. They do not put out enough voltage (at least 8.4 volts) to properly run the instruments. NiCad and NiMh "9-volt" batteries, even when fully charged, put out a maximum of 7.2 volts."

So from that "8.4 minimum" I don't go any lower than 8.5.

I use a load tester to check batteries. Since a voltmeter will not put any load on a battery, you may see a higher voltage reading than what you'd get under normal operation.

So with that one showing percentage of battery life instead of actual output at what percentage do you know to change the battery?

Good question. If a battery goes down to 40% I generally change it. But I'll usually mark it and keep it in my gig bag. Usually I'd only use it in a tuner unless it's an emergency.

Hmmm. How bout minimum voltage for the Majesty (3 ea AA at 1.5V ea)? With the short fuse on the yellow light thing the min voltage would be nice to know. Thanks.

Entirely my point Kevin. Your link states 7.8 V under load. Obviously referring to the guitars with 9 v batteries. The three AA batteries would generate 4.5 V NEW

Propably a bit more. My 9 volts read out at 9.7 when new.

You may have to call customer service on that one. I didn't see anything on their faq section specifically for the Majesty batteries.

I usually replace 1.5V AA battery in wireless UHF condenser mic when voltage drop to 1.4V just to be sure, even display meter on mic shows still 1 hour remaining time of operation.
When new, AA batt. shows 1.57V on the voltmeter and mic's display shows 6 hours remaining.

Sounds like a safe number keko, thanks. I'll use it in the absence of anything official on a company forum.
