gotta go w/ zing test myself..........and i have had troubles w/ the duracells as of late........i do the cheapo batts and maybe need to change a bit more often but........if they fit,why not eh?

As a matter of practice, I change batteries every time I put on new strings
(4-6 months of playing depending on the bass).

I have had many EBMM basses and have never had to change batteries. Then again - none of them got a ton of playing time from me as I kept buying, trading and selling them.

I change batteries when they drop below "zing" level on the tongue test.

usually every 6 months or so...I use the Duracell Procells which I get from my wife's familys company which is a distributor. I usually buy a box of 24.
