Battery compartment hard to open?

One of my Bongo battery "doors" is very hard to open. I really have to stand on the tab to get open..sometimes, using a flat screwdriver to push down the tab and pry open. Anything I can do to loosen it up? I had it apart last night and there was nothing obvious. Worried that in time, I'll break it.

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, mine is the same. I suspect the routing is a little tight.

I'm curious if there is a workaround too

get a hold of customer support and see what they suggest. they have a ton of experience with all aspects of the instrument so they should be able to give you some tips

Open and close it several times. Sometimes they just need to be "broken in". Don't break it though

Maybe a spot of Vaseline would help it once you've gotten it open.
